The 2023 World Internet of Things (IoT) Exposition ended in Wuxi City of Jiangsu Province on October 23. 

The premier IoT event attracted more than 5,000 participants including 23 academicians, 216 experts, and 762 enterprise executives. The exposition witnessed the signing for 53 key projects involving a total investment of 108 billion yuan across various sectors, such as vehicle-to-everything (V2X), industrial Internet, and artificial intelligence.

This year, the event increased efforts to expand international cooperation by inviting 147 foreign guests, who were from embassies and consulates of eight countries in China and eight international organizations. The on-site exhibition featured 54 companies from 16 countries and regions including Germany, Japan, Finland and Italy. Meanwhile, Wuxi and Asian-International Trade and Investment Association signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen cooperation in intelligent manufacturing.

The event also announced new collaborative initiatives, including the China-Europe (Wuxi) IoT Cooperation and Innovation Center and the City University of Hong Kong - Wuxi Industrial Technology Innovation Research Institute. In addition, the organizing committees of the World IoT Exposition and the IoT Solutions World Congress in Barcelona agreed to increase cooperation.

A total of 522 exhibitors, including 33 of the Fortune 500 enterprises, participated in the exhibition with four zones dedicated to new infrastructure, intelligent sensing, IoT, digital life, respectively.

It showcased more than 100 new IoT applications and products, of which 47 made their debut. The event also revealed Wuxi’s top 10 digital city projects, drawing more than 3,000 visitors in four days.

Data also showed more than 15% of the exhibitors entered into preliminary agreement with potential customers.
