
Two large container vessels each with a capacity of 24,346 TEUs, manufactured at Xinfu Shipbuilding in Taixing City, hit the water on October 29.
They are the world''s largest container vessel under building, a new record set by shipbuilders in Taixing, a county-level city under the administration of Taizhou, Jiangsu Province.

The vessel is 399.99 meters long and 61.3 meters wide, with a deck area of 24,000 square meters. The maximum stacking layer can reach 25 layers.
At present, Jiangsu Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group has received the order to build six such container vessels. The first two vessels will be delivered to its owner in February 2023, and the other four is also expected for delivery next year.
