On the closing day of the 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), a diverse picture of Chinese emerging industries going global unfolded in Xiamen — from a biopharmaceutical bay to a marine high-tech park.

At Xiamen's Haicang Bio Bay, the 9-valent HPV vaccine, co-developed by Xiamen Innovax and Xiamen University, was approved by Thailand's FDA in August, a first overseas breakthrough for China's 9-valent HPV vaccine. AmoyDx's companion diagnostics have entered the health insurance systems of Japan and South Korea, with strategic partnerships forged with global pharma giants such as Pfizer and AstraZeneca. Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceutical's subsidiary Fujian Shengdi has put down roots here as its R&D and production base in South China.

At the Xiamen Marine High-tech Industrial Park, the China-Europe Blue Development Investment Fund — the world's first transnational ocean fund — was set up with the Lujiang Innovation Laboratory. Jiangsu Hengtong Huahai is among its strategic partners. Hexin Technology, working with the Third Institute of Oceanography, has gone global via cross-border e-commerce, with annual sales near 3 billion yuan.
