At the 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), the BRICS Industrial Cooperation and Going-Global Service Port in Xiamen, which opened in May as the service window of the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution Innovation Base now in its sixth year, has backed a growing number of Chinese companies heading overseas.

Under its support, Golden Dragon Bus has delivered over 900 new-energy buses in Ethiopia, the first new-energy vehicle project by a Chinese bus maker to land in an East African country, creating more than 200 local jobs. Chinese medical equipment has entered Malaysia, where MRI machines cut the cost of a single scan nearly in half.

Going global brings risks, but companies keep pushing forward and host markets keep improving. Today, China exports not just basic goods but also mid-to-high-tech products — industries upgrading, markets widening. From single products to whole industry chains, the going-global journey never stops.
