Experts and scholars from multiple countries visited Suzhou, a city that was named to the United Nations' global "Towards Zero Waste" list this year, as part of the event "Green Code, Chinese Wisdom:Voices for River Ecology", on August 12.

Co-hosted by Xinhua Daily Media Group and the Department of Ecology and Environment of Jiangsu Province, the event took them to Suzhou Industrial Park Circular Economy Industrial Park for an on-site inspection of innovative practices that organically link "waste–resources–energy," sparking ongoing discussion. The group later proceeded to the Pingjiang Historical and Cultural District, where, amid the timeless yet contemporary scenery of Jiangnan, they explored ecological governance wisdom that reconciles human life with nature.
