The Ancient Canal stretching across Jiangsu's Wuxi city is an important part of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Students from the Weichang Class of Wuxi No.1 High School took part in a study tour along the ancient Grand Canal in Wuxi on April 30, 2026. Through this journey, they explored the canal's history and cultural heritage, and realized that true learning goes beyond the classroom. History is not only found in textbooks — it lives beneath the feet.

The students produced this video introducing the history of Huangbudun Island on the Ancient Canal of Wuxi.
