NPC deputies from Jiangsu province arrived in Beijing on Tuesday to attend the fourth session of the 14th National People's Congress.
This year's two sessions -- the annual meetings of China's top legislature and top political advisory body -- will serve both as a review of past achievements, and as a strategic compass guiding the nation's future development, as China embarks on the inaugural year of its 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030) period.
Lawmakers from Jiangsu, one of China's economic powerhouses, will deliberate on the central government's annual work report, and review the draft government budget and development plan for 2026.
