The rural logistics in China has achieved remarkable results in recent years, with the coverage rate of express delivery service in villages reaching 95%. From the perspective of the entire market, however, there are still deficiencies in the door-to-door delivery service for remote areas.

To solve this problem, Zhou Jiang, a member of the provincial committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and a staff member from China Post Zhenjiang Branch, put forward his suggestions.

First, deepen resource integration and optimize the logistics system. Local branches of the China Post need to coordinate door-to-door delivery in remote areas, while other express delivery companies need to sort to towns to reduce redundant construction.

Secondly, optimize the profit model by integrating multiple businesses such as agricultural product purchase, agricultural supplies sales, and convenient payment at village-level delivery stations, and subsidize the cost of door-to-door service with value-added income.

Thirdly, promote the application of unmanned vehicles and smart cabinets in rural areas, and plan the optimal delivery routes through digital systems.

Fourthly, improve policy guarantees, increase special fund subsidies, and enhance operation level of delivery stations.
