Artisans at a traditional steamed bun workshop in Lianyun Port were busy crafting zodiac-themed “Lucky Horse” pastries on January 27. Made from high-quality wheat flour, these festive buns undergo fermenting, shaping, steaming, and hand-painting. Using techniques such as twisting, kneading, cutting, pressing, and decorating, they preserve the natural aroma of wheat while carrying auspicious symbolism. More than just food—they are edible works of art.
