The bird species recorded in Tiaozini Wetland of Dongtai, Yancheng City reached 420 in 2025.

In recent years, the conservation efforts of Tiaozini Wetland have been continuously advanced. The restoration of shorelines through the implementation of projects such as returning farmland to wetlands and ecological restoration has achieved great progress.

Monitoring reports show that in 2025, Tiaozini Wetland and its surrounding areas supported at least 97 species and 450,000 waterbirds for stopover and foraging. A total of 23 species of nationally protected animals have been recorded in the Wetland, including 9 first-class and 14 second-class species.
