The Economic Work Conference of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee was held in Nanjing on December 22. Xin Changxing, Party secretary of Jiangsu province delivered a speech. The conference reviewed the province's economic work in 2025, analyzed the current economic situation and stressed next year's economic work.
Under the leadership of Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, Jiangsu has continued to lead the way in promoting high-quality development over the past five years, and is on track to complete the main goals of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025), said the meeting.
The meeting pointed out that next year marks the beginning of the 15th Five-Year Plan, and efforts should be made to fully tap into domestic demand potential. It is necessary to develop new quality productive forces according to local conditions, seize the major opportunity of jointly building the Shanghai (Yangtze River Delta) International Science and Technology Innovation Center, strengthen the cooperation with Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and deepen and expand the application of AI Plus Initiative. Jiangsu should also continue to expand high-level opening up, deepen the implementation of the free trade zone upgrading strategy, and promote the steady improvement of foreign trade and foreign investment.
It is essential to accelerate the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development, improve people's livelihood, and steadily advance common prosperity for all. Efforts should also be made to further invigorate private investment, stabilize the real estate market, enhance disaster prevention, mitigation and relief capabilities, and build a safer Jiangsu at a higher level.
The meeting emphasized that efforts should be made to do a good job in the first year of the 15th Five-Year Plan, take solid steps in the new practice of modernization with Chinese characteristics in Jiangsu, and make greater contributions to the overall development of the country.
