Jiangsu's aerospace industry has recorded an average annual compound growth rate of around 14% during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021–2025), according to the provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology.

Over the past five years, Jiangsu has developed a number of aerospace industry clusters in cities including Nanjing, Wuxi, Changzhou, Suzhou, Nantong, Yangzhou and Zhenjiang, achieving significant progress in areas such as large passenger aircraft components, heavy-lift unmanned cargo aircraft, and satellite internet technology.
