This bilingual documentary follows the quest of Shang Rong, Chairman of the Jiangsu Sculptors Association. The journey spans historically rich cities from Beijing and Nanjing to Athens, Rome, and Venice. Through dialogues with pivotal figures—including the renowned sculptor Wu Weishan, Ms. Victoria ZYGOUROU, Director of the Athens Municipal Art Gallery, and Chiara Squarcina, Scientific Director of the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia—the film delves into the convergence of Eastern and Western thought. It vividly interprets the essence of Chinese civilization embodied in its sculptural art and showcases a contemporary landscape of mutual learning among cultures.
