Jiangsu's consumer price index (CPI), a main gauge of inflation, rose 0.6% year-on-year in November, according to figures released by the Survey Office of the National Bureau of Statistics on December 11.

Among major categories, CPI increased by 0.6% in urban areas and 0.4% in rural areas. Food prices fell by 0.7%, whereas non-food prices increased by 0.9%. The prices of consumer goods rose by 0.4%, and service prices increased by 0.9%.
