Jiangsu's total economic output reached 13.7 trillion yuan in 2024, and is on track to exceed 14 trillion yuan this year, according to a press conference held by the provincial government on December 10.

Jiangsu has remained China's top manufacturing province for four consecutive years and has ranked among the provincial-level regions with the best business environment for five years in a row. The province also leads the country in the scale of its strategic emerging industries.

Among other highlights, Jiangsu's total retail sales of consumer goods continue to rank among the highest nationwide. Meanwhile, PM2.5 concentrations, a key indicator of air pollution, have met the national Grade II standard for four consecutive years.
