On October 19, the 2026 Global South Journalists Workshop entered its second day. Foreign journalists visited Nanjing University Library, one of China's first "National Key Ancient Book Protection Units," and tried their hand at ancient book restoration. The library holds nearly 400,000 ancient bound books. Restoration follows the principle of "repair as original" and "minimal intervention." Every fragment matters.
