On October 18, the 2026 Global South Journalists Workshop opened at Nanjing University. As the first workshop under the Belt and Road Journalists Network’s Global South Journalists Workshop Program, nearly 40 young journalists and students from Global South countries have gathered as "new classmates" for three days of lectures, on-site visits, and discussions. After class, an Angolan journalist shared that he had learned to use chopsticks just three days ago. From forks to chopsticks, cultural exchange begins face to face.
