"Encounter & Enlighten: A Dialogue Across Time and Space", a cultural exchange event highlighting dialogue between Chinese and Greek civilizations opened in Athens on June 8th, bringing together more than 150 guests from China and Greece to explore the enduring relevance of classical civilizations in the modern world.

Part of the supporting activities of The Second World Conference of Classics, the event was held under the guidance of the State Council Information Office of China and the Chinese Embassy in Greece, and jointly organized by the Information Offices of Jiangsu Province and Shandong Province.

The event also unveiled the 2026 China-Greece Joint Audiovisual Communication Initiative, which will promote documentary co-productions, program exchanges and copyright cooperation, further expanding media collaboration between the two countries.

A forum entitled "Contemporary Echoes of Classical Civilizations" brought together Chinese and international experts to discuss the modern significance of classical traditions and explore new approaches to communicating classical studies in a global and cross-cultural context.

Participants also visited an immersive exhibition featuring AI-powered experiences.

The interactive installations allowed visitors to engage with historical figures and cultural heritage through multimedia technologies.
