A public notice released on February 24 by the Nantong Education Bureau indicated that the location of the Southeast University Nantong campus is to the east of Tongfu North Road in Chongchuan District, Nantong City, with a total land area of approximately 70 hectares and a total building area of about 522,000 square meters.

Nantong is the third city selected by Southeast University (headquartered in Nanjing) after Suzhou and Wuxi. The construction period is about 36 months.

In 2025, Nantong's GDP reached 1.28 trillion yuan, with a growth rate of 5.3%. It is also a national high-tech shipbuilding industrial base and a national ship export base. The development of marine disciplines is one of the most important links in the cooperation between the two sides.
