Xin Changxing, deputy to the provincial People's Congress and Party secretary of Jiangsu, deliberated on the annual government work report alongside the deputies from Wuxi delegation on February 3.

The deputies fully agreed on the report, and gived their suggestions on promoting the development of emerging and future industries, cultivating a new generation of private entrepreneurs, protecting intellectual property, and improving the financial services system for technology.

Xin Changxing said that the government work report delivered by Governor Liu Xiaotao, implemented the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on Jiangsu's work, and adhered to the requirements of the provincial Party committee. Through the joint efforts of the entire province, Jiangsu successfully accomplished the main tasks and goals of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021–25). This year, we must continue to expand domestic demand, optimize supply, strive for high quality development, and ensure a strong start for the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–30), said Xin.

Xin Changxing pointed out that efforts in economic development must focus on the real economy, seizing the opportunity of building Shanghai (Yangtze River Delta) into an international center for scientific and technological innovation, and connecting to the global market with a broader vision.

Persistent efforts should be made in Taihu Lake governance to continuously improve the ecological environment, and accelerate the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development, Xin said.

It is essential to take solid steps toward common prosperity for all the people, caring for the people and improving the livelihoods.
