Yancheng City is aimed to achieve gross ocean product of 175 billion yuan by 2026, with an increase of over 8%, according to the seventh session of the ninth People's Congress of Yancheng City held on January 21.

Yancheng has been promoting the transformation of the marine economy to quality development in recent years. During the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026—2030), Yancheng will accelerate the green transformation of chemical industrial parks, and promote the clustered development of marine chemical industry.

According to the meeting, the city will continue to support the establishment of provincial-level marine industry parks, and attract no less than 150 marine industry projects, each with an investment of over 100 million yuan.
