The air quality of Nanjing, Jiangsu Province in 2025 reached the best level since the official records began, with the proportion of good air-quality days reaching 87.4%, ranking first in the province.

The protection of biodiversity has also been strengthened. Nanjing issued the Biodiversity Conservation Plan last year and put into use the Laoshan Mountain Biodiversity Observation Station, the first forest ecosystem observation station in the city.
