Beumer Group, the 500th German company that has opened branch in Taicang, Jiangsu Province, held opening ceremony of its new base in the city on December 10.

Beumer is an international leader in the design and manufacture of intralogistics systems for conveying, loading, palletizing, packaging, sortation and distribution. The newly opened project, covering conveyor sorting equipment and conveyor belts, has a total investment of 100 million euros.

The company signed an agreement to establish operations in Taicang in June 2023. In January 2024, it became the 500th German enterprise registered in the city.

Over the years, Taicang has built its reputation as the "hometown of German enterprises" in China and one of the most popular destinations for foreign investment in the Yangtze River Delta.
