A new 13.6-megawatt offshore wind turbine has been commissioned and connected to the grid in Dafeng District of Yancheng City, marking the largest single-unit turbine currently in operation in Jiangsu Province.

The turbine has a hub height of 142 meters, 123-meter blades, and a rotor diameter of 252 meters. Each rotation can generate about 29 kilowatt-hours of electricity. Its annual output is expected to exceed 46.5 million kilowatt-hours, enough to meet the yearly electricity needs of about 23,000 three-person households.

The entire project has a total installed capacity of 800 MW and will deploy 98 turbines in total.
