Changzhou has released the Wujin District Territorial Spatial Master Plan (2021–2035), in which the construction of two general aviation airports were outlined.

According to the plan, the Wujin airport is expected to be located in its Qianhuang Town, while the airport in the Changzhou Economic Development Zone is likely to be sited in Hengshanqiao Town.
