The second phase of the Yangzhou Taizhou International Airport expansion has entered the interior decoration and equipment installation stage, with the main structure on track for completion by the end of the year.
The airport mainly serves the cities of Yangzhou and Taizhou and is often abbreviated as Yangtai Airport. At the core of this expansion is the new T2 terminal, covering 97,000 square meters — three times the size of the existing terminal — and designed to handle 10 million passengers annually. Its roof spans over 50,000 square meters, using metal panels with waterproofing membranes and insulation beneath to combine modern design with practical performance.
With a total investment of about 5.6 billion yuan, the project is expected to significantly enhance the air transport capacity across central Jiangsu.
