The 2025 International Cooperation Conference on Industrial Chain and Supply Chain, alongside the Lake Taihu Entrepreneurs Forum, opened in Wuxi City on November 18, focusing on key sectors such as new energy and biopharmaceuticals.
Hosted by the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, the forum brought together 700 participants from China and abroad, including senior executives from more than 30 Fortune Global 500 companies and over 30 China-based heads of multinational corporations.
A highlight of the event was the signing of 21 high-level R&D projects. Participating companies are set to collaborate with universities such as Nanjing University, Jiangnan University and Nanjing University of Science and Technology to advance joint research.
Jiangsu is currently home to 43,000 foreign-funded enterprises. Among the Fortune Global 500, 408 companies have operations in the province. Although foreign-funded firms account for just about 1.0% of all registered businesses, they contribute 46.6% of Jiangsu's total imports and exports.
