Title: Light Erosion Series & The Color of Space

Description:
Light Erosion Series: Constructed from acrylic and metal components, these works feature transparent forms embedded with cold, hard metallic frameworks, evoking the sense of an unfinished future specimen in a laboratory. The transparency of the acrylic conveys fragility, as if revealing the 'interior' truth to the viewer. The intrusion of metal resembles an invasion into a primal life form. The series juxtaposes the 'cold' and the 'soft', the 'technological' and the 'human.' While the metal symbolizes the chill of technology, the transparent bodies impart a quality of vulnerability and openness, seemingly unveiling the transparency and authenticity of the human inner world.

The Color of Space: This work utilizes mirror-finished stainless steel to create an alien, hybrid human-machine body. Devoid of a clear face or recognizable gestures, it firmly occupies the center of the space. Its surface transforms with the viewer's movement, reflecting and refracting ambient light and imagery to form a dynamic spectrum, akin to a virtual container that constantly 'devours space.' It explores the materiality and transience of the body within a spatial field, contemplating the 'alienation' of the body and how it is perpetually defined and dissolved within space.
