The first Cross-Straits (Jiangsu) Youth Cultural and Creative Festival held its closing session in Yangzhou City from April 6 to 8.
The event was organized by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Jiangsu Provincial People''s Government, under the guidance of the Exchange Bureau of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council.
The festival featured an innovative combination of competitions, display and exhibition to showcase outstanding works by young people from both sides of the Taiwan Straits. It also displayed award-winning works and achievements in the major cultural and creative events in Jiangsu and Taiwan. The exhibition and sales area gathered 22 outstanding Taiwan enterprises and studios in the cultural and creative fields, providing an opportunity to learn about the achievements of cultural integration and innovation related to everyday life.

The festival started on July 9 last year and included several competitions, including the Cross-Straits (Kunshan) Youth Cultural and Creative Design Competition and another design competition themed on Huang Gongwang.
During the closing event, the award ceremony of the 5th "Moon Award" Yangzhou-Taiwan Creative Design Competition was held both online and onsite. Since the competition’s inception in 2018, it has collected more than 3,000 artworks, of which more than 80% are from Taiwan.
