The international youth programme “Green Code, Chinese Wisdom” continued its journey into Yancheng, Jiangsu, on August 14, bringing together experts and scholars from multiple countries to witness the region's remarkable ecological transformation. Co‑hosted by Xinhua Daily Media Group and the Department of Ecology and Environment of Jiangsu Province, the visit focused on coastal wetland conservation and restoration.
The delegation first visited the Dafeng Yellow Sea Wild Deer Marsh, where they explored the rich biodiversity of the Yellow Sea wetlands and learned about the area’s ecological significance. They then proceeded to the China Milu Park (Dafeng Milu Nature Reserve), observing the free‑roaming Père David’s deer population – a vivid testament to the success of local conservation efforts.
The experience offered a compelling example of how ecological wisdom and long‑term commitment can revive even the most challenging landscapes.
