The Center for International Communication and Area Studies was inaugurated in Yancheng on November 11, marking a new initiative to promote mutual learning between Chinese and foreign civilizations.

The center is jointly established by the Yancheng Municipal Publicity Department and Yancheng Teachers University.

Leveraging local resources and pooling wisdom from domestic and international sources, the center will enhance international communication capabilities, advance area studies, and facilitate the global reach of local culture. It aims to become a distinctive research hub and think tank platform with strong regional characteristics.

The center will also pioneer interdisciplinary training mechanisms to systematically cultivate versatile talents who possess both national pride and a global perspective. Meanwhile, by deepening university-local collaboration and expanding international exchanges, it will strive to tell compelling stories of Yancheng, amplify China's voice, and comprehensively elevate the city's international influence.
