China-Korea Trade and Investment Expo opens in Yancheng

The 4th China-Korea Trade and Investment Expo kicked off at the Yancheng International Convention Center and the China-Korea Cultural Centre in the Yancheng Economic and Technological Development Zone, Nov. 18.

The expo, initiated in 2019, has become a key platform to boost trade, exchange and cooperation. The past three editions attracted 100,000 visits, facilitated the trade volume of $5.55 billion, and saw the signing of 191 deals worth 230 billion yuan.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Republic of Korea and the 5th anniversary of the founding of the China-Korea (Yancheng) Industrial Park.

The expo’s opening ceremony had two main venues in Yancheng and Seoul connected by video link in real time. Participants include government officials, representatives of business associations, foreign envoys to China, executives from top companies and experts.

The expo will include four exhibition zones dedicated to the industrial park’s achievements in five years, latest products by Korean companies and developments in 15 sister-cities, food and beverage of two countries, and an outdoor new energy auto show.

The expo’s satellite events include the 4th Belt and Road Business Association Roundtable (Yancheng) Conference, the 2nd China-Korea (Yancheng) Cross-border E-commerce High-quality Development Forum, and the Jiangsu-Korea New Energy Vehicle Industry Cooperation Matchmaking Meeting.

The expo will last from November 18 to 22.
