State-owned farms celebrate farmers' harvest festival in Yancheng

Some 200 representatives from farms in China’s state-farm system and land reclamation farms, attended the celebration of Chinese farmers'' harvest festival in Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province on September 16.

The event showcased all kinds of quality agricultural products from state farms across the country, such as grains, cooking oil, new variety of kiwifruit, beautiful lily bouquets, and other specialties featuring unique appearances and tastes.

The large Lingzhi mushroom produced in Yuntai Farm of the Jiangsu Nongken Group attracted a lot of attention. Yin Shang, head of the Party office of Yuntai Farm, said the farm displayed nearly 20 kinds of products including dried mulberry, mulberry tea, lotus leaf tea, pomegranate and grapes, with the Lingzhi mushroom popular in the market for its affordable price and high quality.

In recent years, Yuntai Farm has also actively developed agritourism by taking advantage of its resources such as the wetlands park and organic food, receiving more than 100,000 visitors every year.
