Nanjing China AI Valley, located in the heart of China's Yangtze River Delta, hosts more than 600 artificial intelligence enterprises. In 2025, the core AI industry revenue in the valley exceeded 13 billion yuan.

As the global AI industry accelerates and new tracks continue to emerge, Nanjing China AI Valley has stood out as a flagship AI hub for the city of Nanjing.

In recent years, the valley has focused intensively on industrial development. Unlike traditional single-park models, it was jointly planned and developed by Nanjing's Qixia District, the Nanjing Economic and Technological Development Zone, and Xianlin University Town. Nearly 20 specialized and differentiated industrial parks have been built to precisely meet the needs of specific AI sub-sectors, laying the groundwork for sustained industry growth.

These expansive industrial spaces support strong industrial momentum. The valley has strategically cultivated multiple tracks and established three major emerging industry clusters: artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing, and life sciences. A number of benchmark companies have moved in, breaking through technical bottlenecks and capturing early market opportunities in niche segments.

Talent is key to innovation. A robust industrial ecosystem, an open entrepreneurial environment, and well-rounded support services have made the valley an attractive destination for high-level science and technology talent from home and abroad to return, start businesses, and pursue their goals.

Li Zhifei, who holds a Ph.D. in computer science from Johns Hopkins University and formerly worked as a scientist at Google headquarters, came back to China in October 2020 and started Mobvoi in Nanjing China AI Valley. To date, Mobvoi has completed six rounds of financing, with its valuation exceeding 1 billion U.S. dollars. Li's journey reflects the valley's broader capacity to attract, develop, and empower talent. Many technology innovators have turned their ideas into reality on this AI industry platform.

Strong foundations in science, education, and industry-academia-research collaboration are key draws for entrepreneurs in the valley. The area is home to four first-rate universities with  first-rate disciplines, namely Nanjing University, Nanjing Normal University, Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, creating a dense concentration of research talent, cutting-edge research, and high-quality innovation resources.

Open collaboration underpins steady growth. The valley has forged deep partnerships with more than 100 domestic and overseas universities and research institutes, over 20 leading domestic investment institutions, and multiple global tech leaders. It has built a full-chain innovation system that spans technology R&D, achievement transfer, capital matchmaking, and scenario application, helping frontier technology land, quality projects incubate, and tech enterprises expand.

To support enterprise growth, the valley has introduced a new industrial service system covering six dimensions: investment and financing empowerment, supply-demand matchmaking, startup incubation support, technical infrastructure, innovative scenario application, and cutting-edge industry events. The full-cycle services aim to free companies from operational worries. Park facilities continue to be upgraded, further improving the business environment. The valley operates business incubators, offering low-cost entry policies for settling enterprises and helping startups quickly integrate into the ecosystem. Talent apartments are also available for immediate move-in.

Jiangsu province places great emphasis on AI development, and Nanjing has explicitly made AI a top priority. Positioned along the world-class Yangtze River Delta sci-tech innovation corridor,  Nanjing China AI Valley is steadily advancing toward becoming an AI industry landmark with global influence.
